Section 01

Definitions

• "meridianece" / "we" / "us" refers to meridianece, the vehicle hire operator
• "Client" / "you" refers to any individual making an enquiry or booking
• "Service" refers to any of the vehicle hire packages offered by meridianece, including the Scenic Island Tour, Day-Rate Self-Drive, and Anniversary Retreat Package
• "Vehicle" refers to the car provided for the duration of the booking
• "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation for a Service, acknowledged by written or email confirmation from meridianece
• "Agreement" refers to the binding arrangement between you and meridianece once a booking is confirmed

Section 02

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry form, confirming a booking, or using our services in any capacity, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• The information you provide is accurate and complete
• You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions

Section 03

Services and Availability

meridianece offers three vehicle hire services in Singapore:

• Scenic Island Tour — guided driving experience, approximately 4 hours, SGD 560
• Day-Rate Self-Drive — independent vehicle hire, up to 12 hours, SGD 380
• Anniversary Retreat Package — occasion vehicle package with optional driver, up to 6 hours, SGD 1,100

All services are subject to availability. meridianece reserves the right to decline a booking at its discretion, for example where safety concerns, vehicle availability constraints, or scheduling conflicts apply. In such cases, any deposit or advance payment will be refunded in full.

Services are currently available only within Singapore. Vehicles may not be driven across the Causeway or Second Link into Malaysia under any circumstances.

Section 04

Booking and Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only once meridianece has issued a written or email confirmation to the client. Verbal discussions or website form submissions alone do not constitute a confirmed booking.

A deposit may be required at the time of confirmation for certain services. Details will be communicated during the booking process. The balance, if applicable, is due prior to the commencement of the service on the day.

Section 05

Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. The following cancellation terms apply:

• More than 72 hours before the booking: full refund of any deposit paid
• 24 to 72 hours before the booking: 50% of the total service fee is retained
• Less than 24 hours before the booking: the full service fee is due
• No-show on the day: the full service fee is charged

Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours in advance will be accommodated subject to availability at no extra charge. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the booking is treated as a cancellation under the terms above.

meridianece reserves the right to cancel or modify a booking in the event of severe weather, vehicle breakdown, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or a rescheduled date at no additional charge.

Section 06

Driver Responsibilities and Conduct

For bookings involving a meridianece driver (Scenic Island Tour and, optionally, the Anniversary Retreat Package):

• Our drivers are holders of valid Singapore driving licences and are familiar with local routes
• Drivers will follow your confirmed itinerary and reasonable in-journey requests
• Drivers are not obligated to follow instructions that would require violation of traffic laws or endanger any passenger
• Smoking is not permitted in any meridianece vehicle
• Consumption of food is permitted at the driver's discretion; spills or soiling may incur a cleaning charge

Section 07

Self-Drive Terms

For clients using the Day-Rate Self-Drive service, the following conditions apply:

• The primary driver must hold a valid driving licence recognised in Singapore. International Driving Permits are accepted in conjunction with a valid foreign licence
• The primary driver must be at least 23 years of age
• The vehicle must be returned by the agreed time. Late returns will incur an hourly charge
• The vehicle must be returned with a comparable fuel level to that at handover
• The vehicle must not be used in any race, rally, or speed trial
• Subleasing or transferring the vehicle to another driver not disclosed at time of booking is not permitted
• Any traffic fines or parking charges incurred during the hire period are the client's responsibility

Section 08

Insurance and Liability

All meridianece vehicles are insured in accordance with Singapore law. The Day-Rate Self-Drive service includes basic third-party insurance as standard. Clients may request information about optional excess reduction at the time of booking.

The insurance excess applicable in the event of an at-fault accident is SGD 2,500 unless a reduced excess arrangement has been confirmed in writing prior to the hire date.

meridianece accepts no liability for:

• Personal belongings left in or lost from the vehicle
• Delays caused by traffic conditions, road works, or events beyond our control
• Itinerary changes necessitated by weather or safety concerns
• Indirect or consequential losses arising from the hire

Section 09

Payments

All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and include GST where applicable. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, credit card, and PayNow. Cash payments are accepted subject to prior arrangement.

meridianece does not store credit or debit card details. All card transactions are processed by a PCI-compliant payment provider.

Section 10

Intellectual Property

All content on the meridianece website — including text, imagery, design, and brand elements — is owned by or licensed to meridianece. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any content without our prior written consent.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with enquiring about or booking our services.

Section 11

Disclaimer

While we take care to maintain our vehicles in good condition and our services to a consistent standard, meridianece does not make any warranties beyond those required by Singapore law. Services are provided as described, and all route and schedule information is indicative and subject to conditions on the day.

meridianece is not a licensed tour operator or travel agent. Our services are vehicle hire arrangements, and any supplementary recommendations (restaurants, viewpoints, routes) are offered as informal suggestions only.

Section 12

Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or in connection with a booking will first be addressed through direct communication between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the Singapore Mediation Centre before any court proceedings are initiated.

The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not resolved through mediation.

Section 13

Changes to These Terms

meridianece may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The revised version will be published on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
